Representative Greg Smith Joins Board and Members at UEC’s 86th Annual Meeting
Hermiston, Ore. – Today, Representative Greg Smith (R-Heppner) joined the UEC board, staff, and members along with local elected officials at Umatilla Electric Cooperative’s 86th Annual Meeting. The event kicked off around 5:00 PM at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center (EOTEC). This year’s theme was “Our Power is People”.
“Umatilla Electric Cooperative is an economic engine in the region. The annual meeting is a time to gather, celebrate the success of the Co-Op, and show appreciation to the members. The event’s theme of ‘Our Power is People’ could not have been more fitting,” said Representative Smith.
Representative Greg Smith is currently serving his twelfth term as a State Representative, making him the longest serving member in the Oregon Legislature. He holds a gavel as the Co-Chair of the Joint Ways and Means Subcommittee on General Government. Representative Smith also serves as the Co-Vice Chair of the full Joint Ways and Means Committee.
