Hundreds turn out in Hermiston for annual Veterans Day breakfast | East Oregonian
HERMISTON — A couple of hundred people turned up Tuesday, Nov. 11, for the annual Veterans Day breakfast at the Hermiston Community Center. Oregon state Rep. Greg Smith, R-Heppner, kicked things off with a brief history of World War II and showed the crowd a canteen his great-great-uncle Thomas Gillian used during the war. Sherwin Williams, PGA and Rogers Toyota of Hermiston sponsored the event, and The Pheasant Blue Collar Bar & Grill served the breakfast.
