Young Republicans of Oregon Announce First 2026 Legislative Endorsements: Greg Smith and Andrew Morrison | Right Now Oregon
Representative Greg Smith for House District 57

The Young Republicans of Oregon have endorsed Representative Greg Smith for Oregon State House District 57.
As a proven legislative leader with deep roots in Eastern Oregon, Smith has spent years delivering results for the communities he represents. With a strong record of conservative leadership, we know Smith is the right leader for Eastern Oregon. His leadership will be critical to strengthening Republican numbers in the Oregon House and ensuring rural Oregon has a strong, effective voice in Salem.
Former Damascus City Councilor Andrew Morrison for House District 48

The Young Republicans of Oregon have endorsed Andrew Morrison (R-Damascus) for Oregon State House District 48.
As a longtime civic leader, Andrew is primed to continue serving his community as well as Barton, Boring, Happy Valley, and Portland in the legislature. A recent Republican candidate came within three points of beating the previously elected Democratic State Representative, and we believe that Morrison can take us to the finish line to help return Republicans to a House Majority.
“Andrew Morrison’s background in business and public service is going to bring a dose of reality to Salem,” said YRO Chair Tanner Elliott. “He is focused on key issues and will bring a voice to the Capitol for his constituents, not special interests.”
YRO member from Gresham Mitchell Dorsey stated,“Andrew is the catalyst that will allow Oregon House Republicans to escape the super minority. He is the literal rockstar candidate we are happy to stand behind. I am very optimistic with him running.”
When he learned of the endorsement, Morrison stated, “I am honored to be endorsed by our YRO leaders. These young men and women are our future and to have their vote of confidence means so much to our campaign for District 48.”
