REPRESENTATIVE GREGORY SMITH RETAINS INFLUENTIAL BUDGET  COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS

 

SALEM, OR. – Representative Gregory Smith (R-Heppner) has been assigned committees for the 2026 short session.

Joint Committee on Ways and Means Subcommittee on General Government – Co-Chair

Joint Committee on Ways and Means – Co-Vice Chair

Joint Committee on Legislative Administration

Joint Committee on Ways and Means Subcommittee on Capitol Construction

House Committee on Revenue.

Representative Smith stated, “As the House Republican Budget Chair and Vice Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Ways and Means, among my other committees, I am uniquely positioned to serve District 57.”

Representative Smith continued, “I am honored to continue this responsibility.”

Smith is the Republican budget leader who represents the entirety of Morrow, Gilliam, Sherman, and Wheeler counties, as well as portions of Clackamas, Jefferson, Marion, Umatilla, and Wasco Counties.
