CONNOR ROBERTS JOINS TEAM SMITH AS LEGISLATIVE INTERN
SALEM, OR. – Representative Greg Smith (R-Heppner) is pleased to welcome Connor Roberts to his legislative team as an intern.
Roberts will spend the 2026 legislative short session learning the legislative process and reviewing policies affecting House District 57.
Roberts is a 2022 graduate of Hermiston High School and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Oregon State University (OSU). While at OSU, Roberts completed a double major in Public Policy and Economics and graduated in 2025. He was also selected for OSU’s Advanced Master’s Platform, an accelerated program that enables students to complete a master’s degree in one year rather than two, and is on track to earn his Master of Public Policy in 2026. During his four years at OSU, Roberts was actively involved in campus leadership, serving on the Alumni Association’s Homecoming Court and as President of the Economics Club.
Roberts wanted to intern at Representative Smith’s office, stating, “Representative Smith’s impact in Salem and my home district is amazing to see. He is someone whose dedication to supporting the people of Eastern Oregon is something that I admire.”
“It’s great to have someone from Hermiston working on the team this session. He has a great work ethic and is dedicated to serving Oregonians,” stated Representative Smith.
Representative Smith represents the entirety of Morrow, Gilliam, Sherman, and Wheeler counties, as well as portions of Clackamas, Jefferson, Marion, Umatilla, and Wasco Counties.
