Representative Smith Presented with the Oregon Fairs Association 2021 Legislator of the Year Award

 

SALEM, Ore. – This evening was the Legislative Dinner & Showcases hosted by the Oregon Fairs Association at the Oregon State Fair & Exposition Center. During the ceremony, Representative Greg Smith (R-Heppner) was awarded the 2021 Legislator of the Year Award.

 

“Our county fairs are vitally important to each community within District 57,” said Representative Smith “they offer incredibly positive outlets for our youth, space to host countless community events, and in dire moments are centers for crisis response. I was honored to receive this award and humbly share it with each County Fair in District 57”.

 

Representative Greg Smith is currently serving his twelfth term as a State Representative, making him the longest serving member in the Oregon Legislature. He holds a gavel as the Co-Chair of the Joint Ways and Means Subcommittee on General Government. Representative Smith also serves as the Co-Vice Chair of the full Joint Ways and Means Committee.
