Representative Greg Smith Visits Shaniko

 

Shaniko, Ore. – During last September’s special session, the Oregon Legislature undertook the redistricting process. This meant that the District 57 lines changed. The City of Shaniko is now included within District 57. On Monday, Representative Greg Smith (R-Heppner) met with community leaders at City Hall, including Don Treanor, Shaniko Mayor, Diana Marrs, Shaniko City Recorder, Scott Marrs, Shaniko Volunteer Fire Department Chief, and David Long, Shaniko City Councilor. “Learning more about Shaniko’s history and visiting about rural emergency medical services was invaluable” said Representative Smith.
