Representative Greg Smith Visits Jefferson County

 

Madras, Ore. – During last September’s special session, the Oregon Legislature undertook the redistricting process. This meant that the District 57 lines changed. Parts of northern Jefferson County and the entirety of the Warm Springs Reservation are now included within District 57. On Monday, Representative Greg Smith (R-Heppner) met with community leaders, including Kelly Simmelink, Jefferson County Commissioner, Jeff Blake, Jefferson County Fire District No. 1 Chief, and Glendon Smith, Warm Springs Tribal Council Chair. “I was thankful for the opportunity to be educated on critical issues for both Jefferson County and the Confederated Tribes of Warms Springs, I look forward to strengthening our connection” said Representative Smith.
