Oregon Rep. Greg Smith (R-Heppner) begins the conversation taking a look back at what stood out from the last session. With the rush at the end of the session when the Republican Senators came back to the table, he answers the question whether anything got neglected that needs to be taken care of in the coming session. Smith talks about his priorities for the 2024 session. He then talks about the ongoing effort to make fixes surrounding Oregon’s voter-approved drug decriminalization measure. Smith also talks about scoring some good funding for projects in his district, then talks about what the measures he’s proposing or sponsoring in the upcoming short session.
