Representative Greg Smith Joins Board and Members at UEC’s 85th Annual Meeting
Hermiston, Ore. – Today Representative Greg Smith (R-Heppner) joined the UEC Board, staff, and members along with local elected officials at Umatilla Electric Cooperative’s 85th Annual Meeting. After a two year in-person hiatus, the event kicked off around 5:00 PM at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center (EOTEC). This year’s theme was “Larger Than Light”.
“Umatilla Electric Cooperative is an economic engine in the region. The annual meeting is a time to gather, celebrate the success of the Co-Op, and show appreciation to the members. After two years, it was amazing to be back in person with friends. The theme of ‘Larger Than Light’ could not have been more fitting,” said Representative Smith.
Representative Greg Smith is currently serving his eleventh term as an Oregon State Representative, making him the longest serving member in the House of Representatives. He holds a gavel as the Co-Chair of the Joint Ways and Means Subcommittee on General Government. Representative Smith also serves as the Co-Vice Chair of the full Joint Ways and Means Committee. Additionally, he is the ranking member on the House Revenue and Joint Legislative Audits Committees.
