Representative Greg Smith a Panelist at Eastern Oregon Economic Summit

HERMISTON, Ore. – Today, Representative Greg Smith (R-Heppner) was a panelist during the legislative session of the Eastern Oregon Economic Summit. The Summit was put on by the Eastern Oregon Women’s Coalition and Friday’s activities were hosted at Hermiston High School.

“It was an honor to be a panelist,” said Representative Smith “thank you to each of my colleagues from all around the state who participated”.

“Due the pandemic, the summit had to be rescheduled twice. So, this year’s event felt especially successful and I greatly appreciate the hard work and dedication of the Eastern Oregon Women’s Coalition,” said Rep. Smith.

Representative Greg Smith Votes to Fund the Elimination of Invasive Mormon Crickets

SALEM, Ore. – Today Representative Greg Smith (R-Heppner) as a member of the Joint Emergency Board voted to fund elimination efforts of the invasive mormon cricket.

“Mormon crickets have plagued agricultural producers in my district and all around the State of Oregon for years. I was pleased to vote on the funding to eliminate this nuisance,” said Representative Smith.
